    The season is still early but the initial results are very positive for the Culver City high school girls' and boys' basketball. The girls are 4-1 at press time and the boys are currently 6-1. The driving force behind both teams besides talented players is an excellent coaching staff.     The UCLA Bruins football team used a strong defense to win their final game of the regular season last Saturday, defeating the Fresno State Bulldogs, 20-13 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. With the win, the Bruins finished the season at 5-7 and broke a six-game losing streak to the Bulldogs. Fresno State finished the season with a 6-6 record and is bowl eligible.
