    CCEF Receives Funding From Rotary Club The Rotary Club of Culver City has successfully led a collaborative effort with its Sister Club in Manningham, Australia, the Doncaster Club, District 9810 and The Rotary Foundation to grant $17,350 to Culver City Education Foundation and the Culver City Unified School District for the El Rincon Elementary School Computer Project.     The Culver City Friends of the Library is having their annual Book Sale and Craft Fair on Saturday, November 17, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Culver City Julian Dixon Library. Thousands of titles including gently used children's books, comic books, mass market paperback and coffee table books will be available for sale. In addition, a variety of local artisans will be selling handmade gifts and holiday decorations from 9 am to 2 pm. Volunteers are needed.   • Body Found at Culver City Expo Station Identified

    Shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday morning the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to reports of a body on the tracks on an elevated section of Expo Line tracks at the Culver City Station. The Los Angeles County Coroner has identified the man Bernard Bettis, a 48 year old resident of Long Beach. Bettis was declared dead at the scene by the firefighters. While it is the first reported fatality on the Expo Line the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Transit Bureau released a statement saying the death was not caused by a train or electrocution. The...

    Despite rumors making the rounds in Hollywood circles, Culver City’s Sony Pictures Entertainment is not going on the block, according to Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai.
