Down at City Hall our benefits and wages are competitive; for example, if we eyeball the 2018 pay and benefits package received by the four employees noted by Transparent California, in the city manager’s office we would see the following: • John Nachbor, City Manager pay and benefits, 2018 - $42...

This week the 3-2 Rams play the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers at the Coliseum at 1 p.m. on Sunday and...

    Bill Seals, Sports Reporter|Oct 10, 2019

On Saturday night, the Bruins took this habit to new heights, falling behind the Oregon State Beavers, 21-0, in the first six minutes of the game. They were never able to recover and lost 48-31 at the Rose Bowl, dropping to 1-5 for the season. Oregon State quarterback Jake Luton had a night to remember, throwing for five touchdown passes, three to wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins....

Don't look now folks... but the undefeated San Francisco 49ers are bringing their winning brand to the L.A. Memorial Coliseum this Sunday to take on a wayward Los Angeles Rams team. After losing 30-29 on a missed Greg Zuerlein field goal to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football, the third place Rams are suddenly searching for that dynamic offense that shook up the NFL for the past two seasons under head coach Sean McVay. "The important thing for us is obviously this isn't where we...

  • Defensive-Minded Broncos Put the Clamps on Chargers

    Bill Seals, Sports Reporter|Oct 10, 2019

Hall of Fame Coach Vince Lombardi once remarked that, "Teams do not go physically flat, they go mentally stale." When the Los Angeles Chargers look back on the 2019 season, they will remember the games that got away, the games they should have won. In a listless performance at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, the Chargers were soundly beaten by the previously winless Broncos, 20-13. The loss dropped the Chargers to 2-3 for the season. The Broncos dominated from the start of the game. On...

    Sandra Coopersmith|Oct 10, 2019

Flashing lights . . . blaring alarms . . . confusion . . . an unexpected ending to an intriguing week, but allow me to backtrack . . . Well, since Culver City's seal proudly...
