    Culver City is turning 100 next year and will begin the yearlong celebration this Saturday with a parade, opening ceremonies and a neighborhood-wide, interactive celebration of creativity, community and cuisine.     The 2016 Culver City High football team won their third consecutive game of the season as they went on the road to beat University High, 35-7, on Friday night, September 23. Quarterback Jonathan Martin threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Centaurs jumped to a 28-0 halftime lead.     Culver City High graduate Abel Lezcano is a member of the Colgate University Class of 2020. Of the 8,394 applications to Colgate last year, just 28.7 percent were accepted.
