    For only the second time in Westchester Babe Ruth’s 56-year history it has qualified a team for the Babe Ruth World Series. The Westchester Babe Ruth 14U team (players league age 14 or younger) won the local district championship by defeating El Segundo (twice), and South Torrance.     Culver Completes Play In Summer Baseball League A youthful Culver City High baseball team completed play in the South Bay Summer League, finishing in the middle of the pack. Mira Costa, which was the No. 5 seed, won the championship with a 17-7 victory over Palos verdes. Earlier in the playoffs Mira Costa edged Culver City, 4-3.
