    Kentwood Players will hold open auditions for the murder mystery musical spoof "SOMETHING'S AFOOT" on Saturday, September 12 from 1 pm through 4 pm, and Sunday, September 13 from 6 pm through 9 pm. Callbacks, if needed, will be Monday, September 14 at 7 pm. This is a non-equity, non-paid production directed by Catherine Rahm with choreography by Alison Mattiza, produced by Lori A.   • Former Culver Football Player Dorsey killed

    Former Culver City High football player Sydney Dorsey was recently killed in an automobile accident. Dorsey, a defensive back, played for Culver in 2011 and 2012. His brother, Ky, was also a Centaur defensive back. He graduated in 2010 and then played for LaVerne University. The funeral for Sydney Dorsey was held last week.     Former UCLA star running back Mel Farr has died at 70 of unknown causes. Farr went on to the NFL for seven years with the Detroit Lions. In 1967 Farr was the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year and his teammate, Lem Barney, was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
