    Eight other Cities Join To protect Local Funds The City of Culver City has joined eight other cities in Los Angeles, Orange, Alameda, and San Diego Counties in filing a lawsuit to ensure local property tax funds are disbursed to fund local obligations rather than to the State and other taxing entities.     The Culver City High boys swimming team has won the Ocean League championship for the first time in 10 years. After going undefeated in individual meets the team won the league meet at Beverly Hills High. It was a triumph for Nestor Dordoni, the coach of Centaur teams for 32 years.     The Culver City High baseball season, one of the most memorable in school history, is over. The Centaurs lost their second round CIF playoff game, 3-0 to Paramount High Tuesday afternoon. Last year Culver eliminated Paramount in the second playoff round. Both of the Centaurs’ playoff games resulted in shutouts. Culver defeated Eastside of Lancaster, 1-0 in the first round.
