Bernard “Bernie” Michael Kaidin died peacefully in his sleep on March 20. Kaidin was born on May 18, 1945 and moved to Culver City with his family at the age of four. He attended Culver City High where he graduated in 1962. He attended Santa Monica College and UCLA. Bernie enlisted in the Navy and was an electronics technician. He was stationed on Johnson Island where he received the Navy Achievement Medal as special commendation for special project performance and completion.
