    As of Monday consumers purchasing taxable goods in Culver City will pay an additional one half percent in sales tax. Voters passed the increase in November by a wide margin to help close an increasing deficit at city hall. The city expects to garner an additional $8 million for the city coffers.     "M-A, M-A, M-A-T-H, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, M-A, M-A, M-A-T-H" was the cheer the 150 mathletes learned and were chanting on recently at LinHowe Elementary School's auditorium. At the Sixth Annual Los Angeles Countywide Math Olympiads Tournament, there were 30 teams representing 21 different schools.     West Los Angeles College Athletic Director Steve Aggers has announced that the Wildcats have hired Amber de Seriere as the new Women’s Soccer Coach.
