    The Observer has just learned that former Culver City Mayor and Councilman Steven Rose died Monday March 5 after a short battle with leukemia. Rose was President & CEO of the Culver City Chamber of Commerce for 30 years. Rose recently retired because he was turning 70 and had a desire to travel amongst other activities.     Freshman pitcher Adrian Montenegro pitched six shutout innings allowing just one hit and senior Bobby Capa came in and pitched a perfect 1-2-3 seventh inning, striking out two in relief to close out the game.     On Wednesday February 28 at approximately 2pm the Culver City Police Department received a call of a student making threats at Culver City High School. Given the attacks on students and teachers around the country CCPD was quick to react. The School Resource Officer immediately responded along with Patrol Officers and Detectives.
