    The Culver City Middle School cheerleading squad finished first out of four teams at the Cheer for A Cure event, February 4 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Cheer For A Cure was established in honor of Stella Bertz, a most enthusiastic and giving person who was dedicated to the sport of cheerleading. At the age of 47, Stella succumbed to cancer in February 2003, and it became the hope of her daughter Maria Maluchnik to continue her spirit of giving.     Saturday morning Metro conducted an emergency drill along the new Metro Expo light rail line — this one inside the tunnel/trench between Jefferson Boulevard/Flower Street and Exposition Boulevard, just east of Trousdale Parkway near the Expo Park/USC Station.     The Culver City Sister City Committee has been selected to host the United States/Mexico Sister Cities Association's 49th Annual National Convention March 2 through March 4. The Culver City community is invited to participate and learn about activities planned to foster international and intercultural understanding.     January 31 through February 6 Street Robbery: On January 31 at 4:47 pm officers responded to the 4000 block of Midway Avenue regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was walking in t he area of Elenda Street and Arizona Avenue when he was approached by two suspects who stopped him and demanded his money.
