The Culver City Middle School cheerleading squad finished first out of four teams at the Cheer for A Cure event, February 4 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Cheer For A Cure was established in honor of Stella Bertz, a most enthusiastic and giving person who was dedicated to the sport of cheerleading. Saturday morning Metro conducted an emergency drill along the new Metro Expo light rail line — this one inside the tunnel/trench between Jefferson Boulevard/Flower Street and Exposition Boulevard, just east of Trousdale Parkway near the Expo Park/USC Station. January 31 through February 6 Street Robbery: On January 31 at 4:47 pm officers responded to the 4000 block of Midway Avenue regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was walking in t he area of Elenda Street and Arizona Avenue when he was approached by two suspects who stopped him and demanded his money.
