    Lars Nootbaar (El Segundo High) hit the game-winning homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to help the USC baseball team to a 3-2 victory over their cross-town rivals Bruins at Dodger Stadium last Sunday afternoon.     Freshman pitcher Adrian Montenegro pitched six shutout innings allowing just one hit and senior Bobby Capa came in and pitched a perfect 1-2-3 seventh inning, striking out two in relief to close out the game.     Under new head coach, Reggie Morris, the Culver High Boys Varsity Basketball team started its 2017-18 season with a convincing win in the first round of the Trevor Ariza Tip-Off Tournament held in Westchester, CA.
