    Eric Lambkins II|Jun 17, 2021

The Rams welcomed their first 30,000 fans to Sofi Stadium last Thursday on the final day of minicamp. Neither the frustration of combating Los Angeles' traffic nor having his words twisted by reporters could steal the joy of Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay. The practice marked the first time Sofi hosted Rams fans to watch their team. The joy and amazement of the fans and team felt as warm as clean sheets fresh out of the dryer; however, the day's celebration was not without hiccups....

    Eric Lambkins II, Sports Reporter|Jun 10, 2021

Injuries are part of the game, and the Sparks hope to continue to improve despite missing key players. They are currently playing without sisters Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike who are out because of knee injuries, but if they can continue to play like they did last Saturday, June 5, at the Los Angeles Convention Center they will be an even better team when the talented Ogwumike sisters return. Erica Wheeler stepped up and scored a season-high 22 points to help Los Angeles Sparks beat the Chicago Sky...

    Eric Lambkins II|May 6, 2021

After Anthony Davis blocked Facundo Campazzo's 3-point attempt which sealed the win for the Los Angeles Lakers, Davis patted his chest and declared, "We're back! We're back!" Their 93-89 victory over the Denver Nuggets last Monday night at the Staples Center provided a salve in their recent rash of losses. Those lucky enough to land tickets saw the injury-riddled Lakers get trounced by the Jazz 111-97 but they also saw Talen Horton-Tucker continue to look like he belongs in the NBA. The play of Talen Horton-Tucker was a bright spot for the Lakers in an otherwise drab and abysmal performance....

    Eric Lambkins II, Sports Reporter|Nov 4, 2009

She is a modern-day Rembrandt painting in vivid hues through a remarkable streak at the start of this season. JuJu Watkins is weaving a narrative that's turning heads. For the fifth time in seven games Watkins has scored 30 points or more for the 7-0 Lady Trojans basketball team. Last Sunday, the No. 6 ranked Southern California team cruised to an 89-58 victory over San Diego, led by the phenomenal Watkins. She's already etched her name in USC lore, surpassing the legendary Lisa Leslie's record of four 30-point games by a freshman. She hit that...

  • Sparks' leadership strategy needs a referendum with Curt Miller's departure

    Eric Lambkins II, Sports Reporter|Sep 26, 2009

This decade, the Los Angeles Sparks have have seen an exodus of marquee players leave the franchise, and that's Curt Miller's fault. They're the only professional franchise in the city without a training facility, and that's Curt Miller's fault. Sparks' ownership has largely fallen asleep at the wheel, and that's Curt Miller's fault. It's low-hanging fruit to pluck in blaming Miller for the current state of the Los Angeles Sparks. He was the latest head coach in a growing string of failed coache...
