Culver City Walk With A Doc will be held again on Saturday, July 19 at 9 am at Vets Park (Culver and Overland) near the tennis courts. Dr. Nancy L. Sicotte will discuss the positive cognitive effect of exercise and then lead the group on a neighborhood walk. Dr. Sicotte is the director of the Multiple Sclerosis and Neurology Residency Programs in the Department of Neurology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is a Professor in Residence, Department of Neurology, at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. Warm-up and stretching with Brandon Webb, Healthy Lifestyles Counselor, Culver Palms YMCA, precedes the walk at 8:40. The mission of the walking group is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle.
